Temporary Vows’ Renovation

Listen to what God wants from you:

“And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God” (Micah 6, 8)

To me, having renewed my vows -my option of living a religious life- in times of pandemic is to thank my vocation as well as the vocation of my companions Frania, Eveling and Yaneth, who being from different places and countries have joined from distance to keep following on God’s love, which calls us to keep alive what the prophet Micah says. I feel this invitation is a challenge that as followers of Jesus we must assume, not only because of the pandemic, but also for the form in which we are living in this world and from my experience in Nicaragua. It is a difficult reality. There is a political, social and economic crisis which the country is facing and that is provoking so many wounds. I feel called for accompanying the healing process of them.

To say YES once again is to believe that even in the middle of pain and uncertainty there still hope for a more human world. To practice justice against so much injustice, to love with tenderness, to harmonize life with everything and everybody and to live feeling myself been loved by God Father-Mother is the experience that gives sense to my being. It is a road that I do not walk alone, but with my sisters of the community, the congregation, the family and with so many people who are part of my life. All this makes me feel and be a happy consecrated woman who wishes to keep collaborating to make alive God’s Kingdom amidst our peoples.
