MASSES ARE BACK IN THE PARISH NUESTRA SENORA DE GRACIA

Coronavirus, as it has been everywhere, has affected a lot our habits. Among them, the closing of churches.

In fact, one of the measures taken to protect people was to forbid public reunions. It was not easy to accept it and to live that strong moment, we lived six months of anguish without Eucharist in the parish.

On August 15th, 2020, we celebrated our first mass with believers in the Parish Nuestra Senora de Gracia after the measure was lifted. It was of great joy to join for celebrating our faith. At the beginning, believers were responsible, they respected social distance, use of masks, washing hands…and the parish activities were restarted as usual with enthusiasm and devotion.

In the same line, we were visited by Cardinal Fridolin Ambongo. In this same occasion our parish was designated Deanery of Nuestra Senora de Gracia.

Now we are in the second wave of Covid 19, God’s people are starting to neglect some measures and this irresponsible behavior worries us because there is possibility for declaring lockdown again and for a longer period of time.

Sisters, here is where I finish this small experience. God Blesses and keeps us safe.
