Letter to Ramon Zubieta

Dear father, it is with joy that I am writing you this letter, to tell you that I admire very much your missionary project that you started and that you left us as followers of this same project.

I want to say that every time I read your writings, I am impressed by your total dedication to God and to our brothers and sisters, especially to the natives of the Peruvian jungle.

Having as a starting point the appreciation and education of women, in those times when women were not valued, it was you who in your discernment found the way to lead the sisters to help in the education of the women in the Peruvian jungle, as the basis of the family.

You, being a man, felt the need of a feminine hand in the mission to fulfill it in the best way, this reveals that you had an unconditional love for that humble people.

Without anything else to say, I thank you for all that you have done for the Dominican Missionaries of the Rosary, and I ask you to continue helping us in this mission that you yourself have left us.

From your daughter Páscoa Ernesto.
