LETTER TO THE FOUNDERS M. RAMÓN ZUBIETA AND B. ASCENSIÓN NICOL.

Dear Founders:

I send this message from the depths of my heart. I am deeply touched by the testimony of your life of dedication and evangelization to the poorest and most needy, as well as by the good works you have accomplished without expecting anything in return, thanks to your prayer, dedication, and faith.

I met you, Father Ramón Zubieta, through history. I learned that you were a man of strong personality, who worked for the love of the Gospel, following the example of Jesus, who lived poorly and in obedience to the point of voluntarily giving his life. You denounced injustice and fought to free those who were treated as slaves. While building houses and other resources to offer them a dignified life, you spent many nights in prison, but you always maintained your trust in God.

You accepted conflicts and dangers, always willing to sacrifice your life for others and for justice, as John the Baptist did in Matthew 14:8: for speaking the truth, Herod imprisoned him and ordered his head cut off.

I want to ask you, Father RAMÓN ZUBIETA, and Blessed ASCENSION Nicol, a strong and kind woman who dedicated her entire life to serving her brothers and sisters, especially the poor and marginalized women.

Trusting in God’s love, in prayer, and in contemplation, I ask you to intercede for me before God and his Son Jesus, saying that I desire to follow in their footsteps, serving the poor and the most vulnerable. May God grant me the strength to defend those who cannot defend themselves and always work with love, simplicity, openness, trust, and faith.

I wish to move forward, take up my mat and walk, like the man of Bethesda, whom Jesus healed and said, “Take up your mat and walk” (John 5:2-9). I want to evangelize like the Samaritan woman, who, after meeting Jesus, announced the Good News to her people. These are my greatest desires. My fears are only these: that people won’t listen to me, that they won’t accept me as I am, that they won’t want to collaborate with me for the good of all, or that I’ll have to go to a country where I don’t know anyone.

Please, I need your intercession. I hope you hear me from heaven. A warm hug, your sister.
