Dearest Mother Ascension

Speaking of you is speaking of the history of our congregation. By learning about your life and understanding the reasons why you chose this path, I broaden my understanding of our mission. I know that opening a path for others to follow is not easy, but you have shown us the way, allowing us to reach distant places forgotten by humanity. This path not only marks the beginning of our history, but also a new impetus for humanity.

I have always dreamed of following in your footsteps, reaching the poorest, and sharing the love you shared. However, before these dreams, I have a special wish: that the seed of your story may one day reach the land of Burma. We have come to be part of this great family, but it is necessary to make our presence, our history, and our identity as Dominican Missionaries of the Rosary known in that land, so that young people can learn from you and also offer themselves as part of this family.

I also dream of being in the places where I am needed, regardless of whether it is easy or difficult. I am aware that I will not be able to accomplish great works like you did for the congregation, nor be as useful as you were, but I desire to be a humble instrument of service, even in the simplest tasks. I want to be a missionary who knows how to serve with balance and dedication.

Of course, I recognize my weaknesses and limitations, which often fill me with fear. I worry about not being able to fulfill the missions entrusted to me well, about not being faithful to my commitments, or about allowing myself to be dominated by selfishness and pride. However, I trust in your constant accompaniment and guidance, and that you will always remind me to live according to God’s will, allowing myself to be guided by the Spirit.

I want to thank you, dear Mother Ascensión, for inviting me to be part of this family you have founded, to live in fraternity and dedication.

With love and gratitude,

Your daughter,

Themar
