A great thirst drove you, Mother, to set out on your journey. Thirst to share what filled your heart: the encounter with the living God, the encounter with Jesus. Mother of compassion and tenderness, your gaze turned to Ramón Zubieta, and you extended your hand to allow yourself to be accompanied to the Peruvian jungle, where you encountered the living God amidst so many marginalized women and girls who needed a light to guide their steps and give them new hope for life. Through your presence and love, I tried every day to respond without fear, with courage and the strength to renew myself with your companions on the journey.
Today I follow in your footsteps, seeking to respond in some way to the call to the poorest in our society. I entrust my journey to you. Help me respond, to give an adequate response to each mission I will be called to fulfill. By your example, I understand the people, my sisters with whom I share the journey, so that we may live with love and be witnesses of life, understanding, compassion, and mutual care. Help me fight against all forms of materialism that could hinder the proclamation and emancipation of others, so that I may clothe myself in the garment of collaboration, which allows me to find the inner light of each person.
Through your intercession, accompany me. May our Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary, give me the eyes to find and read the needs of the people, as at Cana in Galilee, and help them trust in Jesus, who loves, embraces, and welcomes all people without distinction.
Thank you for understanding me. I hope your help will be the most appropriate if I trust in you.
