Living in an Intercultural and Intergenerational Community

Living in an intercultural and intergenerational community is both a gift and a challenge in religious life. With open hearts and the availability of each person, something new always emerges.

Life is beautiful when we live supporting one another, serving with love, and embracing difficulties with hope, trusting that everything can turn out well.

Today, our communities are made up of sisters from different countries, cultures, ages, and life experiences. This diversity invites us to grow in sisterhood and love.

Interculturality calls us to open our hearts, to listen, and to respect differences. Each sister contributes her cultural richness, her way of praying and serving, strengthening fraternity and the sense of communion.

Intergenerationality allows us to walk together, learning from one another. The older sisters share their experience, wisdom, and fidelity to the Dominican charism, while the younger sisters contribute enthusiasm, creativity, and hope for the mission. As daughters of Blessed Mother Ascensión Nicol and Friar Ramón Zubieta, we live this diversity by following in the footsteps of our founders and always trusting in God’s providence. From the pillars of prayer, fraternal life, study, accompaniment, and mission, we are a sign of the Gospel for today’s world, remembering the Word that inspires us:

“How good and pleasant it is when brothers and sisters live together in unity!” (Psalm 133:1)
