We send you forth to continue sowing…

From distant lands she arrived with a suitcase full of missionary dreams, youth, and hope, and filled with the utopian vision of proclaiming the Kingdom—the good news—to an unknown land. Undoubtedly, her fears were present, but they did not paralyze her.

Angelina Llamazares Gutiérrez, Spanish by birth, Latin American at heart—a woman faithful to God’s call and determined to bring about the Kingdom of peace and justice in the concrete realities she experienced. Without a doubt, she devoted herself entirely to the formation and education of girls, young people, and adults.

Today she bids farewell to these lands where she spent most of her missionary life sowing seeds in the desert—in Chile. It is not a “goodbye”; it is “Go and continue proclaiming the good news,” because we know that your passion and calling are found in the gift of preaching.

Your mark will not fade, and we will continue to sow what you taught us, because your generous dedication showed us the face of God as Father and Mother and made us more human.

May the God of life continue to illuminate your missionary journey in this new stage of your life.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROUS DEDICATION—WE CARRY YOU IN OUR HEARTS!
