“CHRISTMAS IN COMMUNITY: A SIGN OF HOPE”

Christmas is the encounter with the child who is born, it is a sign of Hope, of personal and community renewal.

In fact, this season reminds us that no one should be excluded from human fraternity. The carpenter’s son who offers his life as a ransom for many, who prefers to “serve and not be served” and to give life and dignity to all the crucified of this world. Even for those who are not Christians.

Christmas is also the day of new hope, of a new birth, of a new fruitfulness of the earth. In fact, it awakens in us many feelings: joy, peace, harmony, generosity, fraternity, gratitude to the child Jesus who has revealed to us his immense love.

We have lived it as a true family celebration, where there are no borders, no limits, no divisions, and truly special for the discarded, as Pope Francis reminds us.

May this Christmas and at the start of this new year, in all its expressions, be a true sign of Hope, in a common destiny, as one family in Christ Jesus who was born so that “we may have life, and life in abundance”, and that in each day we may seek to recognize his face in each one who approaches us.

We wish you a blessed and peaceful New Year.
